Job Description


A property management firm is seeking a highly motivated professional with a Master's degree in Finance or Economics and advanced Excel expertise to join their Financial Team. This role involves both developmental and operational accounting responsibilities across a wide range of real estate assets along the East Coast and Southeast. Significant experience handling financial transactions in both development and commercial environments is essential.

Primary Responsibilities

Work closely with Financial Team to support all accounting activities and provide guidance on complex transactions.
Participate in client calls and present ongoing financial updates, insights, and analysis.
Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, including:

Balance Sheets
Income Statements
General Ledger and Trial Balance
Cash Flow Reports
Budget vs. Actual Comparisons
CAM Reconciliations and Recovery Reports

Coordinate with Project Managers and Lenders to compile, distribute, and track Construction Draw Packages.
Ensure all client financial processes comply with ethical standards and sound accounting practices.
Assist with year-end duties such as 1099 reporting, tax preparation, and audit support.
Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for clients, offering suggestions to enhance efficiency.
Build and maintain positive professional relationships with clients and internal staff.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Finance or Economics from an accredited institution.
3-5 years of experience in Real Estate Finance, including both development and commercial accounting.
Public accounting background preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
NetSuite experience required.
Familiarity with QuickBooks, Yardi, or BlueCollar Software is a plus.
Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
